Wyndham Rose Hall
Resort and Country Club, Jamaica.

Wyndham Rose Hall is east of Montego Bay,[about 20 minutes by taxi] on the north coast of Jamaica, and sits on 400 acres of rolling hillside. It has it's own 1800 feet of beach and consists of two, seven story buildings that house 488 luxury hotel rooms.

It was actually purchased in 2005 by the Hotel chain, "Luxury Resorts" and boasts a huge water-park called, "Sugar Mills Falls Water Theme Park". This is a major family resort with programs in place for all family members. Obviously, it's great for kids of all ages!

The famous Rose Hall is about five minutes away and sits on the "Five Diamond" Ritz-Carlton Golf and Spa Resort which boasts 427 luxury hotel rooms amidst 7000 acres of land, including the now famous "White Witch Golf Course".

A trip to Rose Hall should be a must. Built originally in 1770 by the Palmer family as a plantation great house, the great nephew, John Rose Palmer inherited it and married an English lass named Annie. This was in the 1820's.

She, supposedly possessed "Black Magic Powers", and killed off John and two other husbands as well as countless lovers. Annie was found dead in her bedroom in 1831 and has since roamed the house as the "White Witch". Well worth a guided tour, albeit a little gruesome!

The great house at Rose Hall was later purchased by an American John Rollins and restored to it's former, 18th century grandeur, to later become part of the Ritz-Carlton hotel chain! Wyndham Rose Hall, on the other hand, is a fun for the whole family affair: just go up the road and visit the original "Rose Hall"!

Wyndham Rose Hall Jamaica: Fun in Jamaica for the Whole Family

If you want a way to enjoy the beauty and enjoyment that is Jamaica for the whole family, then there are few better ways to do so than the Wyndham resort.

Wyndam Rose Hall: The Original 'Great House'

This is a resort for families, but not the Disney style resorts that you may be used to. Yes, there is fun to be had for the little ones in your family, but there is also fun to be had for you and your loved one as well.

Find something for the children to do and go off to enjoy the sights and sounds of Jamaica, because this resort will have your children engaged the whole day through.

The Sugar Mill Falls Water Park

One of the most notable features of Wyndham Rose Hall that sets it apart from the other family style resorts in Jamaica is that they have a 110,000 square foot water park, complete with a river for tubing, wave pool, water slides, and just about anything else a person could look for in a water park.

...and for the Avid Golfer?

Of course, vacation is supposed to be about doing things differently than you would at home, but it is also about relaxing. Those who stay at the Wyndham resort can enjoy a first class golf course. Best of all, it is located directly next to the guest rooms so no long walks on those early mornings; your golf course may very well be right outside your door!

...All Inclusive Kids Club?

Just so that you can have some non-supervisory adult time, there is a Kids Club included in your Wyndham Rose Hall resort package, with programs for both younger kids and older kids.

This means when they aren't at the water park they are somebody Else's concern. Doesn't that sound like the kind of vacation that you could enjoy? Check out the details with your travel agent.

Jamaican Vacation Simplified!

If you are looking for a expensive five star hotel, then you may want to rethink your decision about staying at the Wyndham Rose Hall. Jamaica is about having a good time, but living at the pace of life.

Things move slow, people are friendly, food is good, and the beaches are sunny. The rooms are simple, so no plasma television screens will be found here (at least not at the time of writing), but what you will find is a wholesomely good time, for the whole family. An all-inclusive family holiday package.

Someday there may come a time when you can take a vacation without your little ones. In the meantime, resorts like the Wyndham Rose Hall Jamaica are too few and far between for active families to pass up.
