There are so many different things to do Jamaica style! The island is known for its cuisine, culture and distinctive style of music, as well as its lush and beautiful scenery. Jamaica is centrally located in the Caribbean Sea and is comparable in size to the state of Connecticut.



There are three main sectors to the island of Jamaica, the sandy coastal plains of the southern and northern shores, the central Blue Mountain range and Cockpit County.

The year round warm temperatures, ranging between 80 and 90 degrees, make Jamaica a perfect place to visit any time of year. July and August are generally the warmest months and February is generally the coolest.

Dunn’s Rivers Falls


Even with the variety of different things to do Jamaica wise, you must make it a priority to visit one of the islands most famous attractions, Dunn’s Rivers Falls.

It located near Ocho Rios. The falls is often described as a growing and living phenomenon that regenerates itself continuously from the deposits of travertine rock. Many believe that the falls was the site of the famous battle fought in 1657, called the “Las Chorreras”. The battle was between the English and Spanish for the possession of the island.

Today, the falls is a mixture of the rustic charm with a natural setting along with the modern facilities. Dunn’s River Falls is perfect for an afternoon adventure followed by a relaxing picnic. If you choose, you can be lead up the falls by an experienced guide. For the less adventurous, you can overlook the falls from the deck or terrace.

There are so many things to do Jamaica speaking, that it is often hard to know where to begin.

Deep Sea Fishing


This is very popular thing to do. A variety of charter boats can be booked. It is important that you realize the times and rates may vary according to the different boats. You will want to book the charter at least 24 hours in advance. Keep in mind that you must also supply your own drinks and food while on the boat.

Golfing


This is one of the more popular things to do in Jamaica. If you are staying in Kingston, Ocho Rios or Montego Bay you are sure to find some excellent championship golf courses to play on. The courses are not only challenging and fun to play on, they are picturesque. If you are a true golf fan, the courses are definitely worth the green fees.

The Ritz Carlton Rosehall


This is located just ten minutes from downtown Montego Bay. The Ritz-Carlton Spa and Golf Resort is located along the stunning stretch of Jamaica’s North Coast Beach. The resort has an outdoor pool, 11 different treatment rooms, a complete fitness center, sauna, two tennis courts and an 18 hole championship golf course.

With so many different things to do in Jamaica, you may not want to leave the island. Whether you are planning a romantic getaway or a fun filled family vacation, you are sure to find exactly what you are looking for.

The things to do in Jamaica are practically limitless; you just have to decide how exactly you want to spend your vacation.
