Tenerife beaches

Tenerife beaches are surprising and unforgettable.

I love them for being so varied like Playa el Socorry( SOS help me! beach) Hence, I fancy more than one of them.

Some are outright romantic and/or for surfing, snorkeling, fishing and other water sports.

Most are small or even secret, hidden beaches only known by locals.
Playa Hidalgo town beach is one such beach by the most north westerly Atlantic point I lately heard praises about and haven't even seen, yet.

I know another Punta Hidalgo beach by this location which is a thrill with its huge natural swimming pools where the waves spray you by
its fences with surprising showers whose water drops glimmer in the sun like diamonds.

There is the golden, sometimes windy beach Las Teresitas beach by the capital Santa Cruz which is a pleasure for swimming for its breakwater. Some call it the most beautiful beach of Tenerife.

Black beaches are in the majority and may be stunning like beach Playa Jardin with 3 landscaped beaches with fantastic park by famous César Manrique.

Than there's beach Playa de las Americas in the south of the island. It's the craze of all sun starved industrial workers from
Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham and even London, not to forget Scotland and Ireland.

Well, it also has mad pubs and clubs to offer by the seafront to drown any tourist sorrow.

Beach Puerto Cruz is an expression Tinerfeños use when talking about the sea shore right by its hub where people fish as if the most normal of things to do by a tourist hot spot while forgetting all about the huff and puff of traffic and busy, little shops lining this waterfront.

Actually, no cars are allowed there and only get as far as Road
Calle Venezuela which leads to this so called beach.

However, ask any tourists, locals or other resident they tell
you that this area of rock pool beach is the best.

Why?

It has one of most stunning man made world recreational lakes called Lido Lago Martiánez with underground casino, exhilarating fountain, subtropical setting, restaurants, kids pool, jacuzzi, the lot.
