This is about us.
We all love to travel,
and we love our Jamaica Holidays!
Hi, my name is Dave and I am the author and builder of this website. I was originally from England, but now live in the beautiful Pacific North-West.
I had travelled extensively on three continents, when I was asked to help plan a neighbors trip to the Caribbean. This started me on a journey of discovery, through many a Travel Agent and Travel Website, and this began to relight a flame, first ignited when I had spent time in Jamaica, living and working. I wanted more Jamaica Holidays!
My family and I had lived in May-Pen, South Central Jamaica, while I was teaching at Glen-Muir High School on the outskirts of the town. We travelled the length and breadth of the island during that time and sampled many of the 200 miles of wonderful beaches. Funds for a Jamaica trip were needed to relive those experiences. I needed a plan to activate my jamaica holidays.
I told you this was about us.....me, my website and my travelling!
It was this growing passion for a return to travel, the desire to share so much and the idea in the back of my head that I could develop an income stream for a travel fund, that led to the building of this website. I wanted to help educate others about the wonderful world of the Caribbean Vacation, but I had never built a website, I had no knowledge of computer programming; heck, I didn't even have a computer.
So I went to my local library and used their computer! Unfortunately I was only allowed to use it for one hour in 24 but that was enough to start my "Travel Fund". That one hour a day was enough to build the basics of this website and without it I could not have achieved what you see here today. Working with this website makes it seem as if I am enjoying my Jamaica holidays everyday!
Being a seasoned traveller I knew the value of using the correct planning tools and so finding 'Site Build it' became the "secret" tool I was looking for. It is the structure behind everything.
