Anguilla Vacation
Why You Should Choose Anguilla For Your Caribbean Vacation this year
by Gordon Steven

An Anguilla Vacation will take you to a tiny island 16 miles long and 3 miles wide with 33 white sand beaches with a terrific reputation.

It is situated in the Caribbean Sea and is the mostnorthern island in the Leeward Island Chain with its nearest neighbor being St Martin only four miles away.

Anguilla is just the perfect Caribbean Island for everyone, whether it is couples, families, or singles, and Anguilla has accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets.

Anguilla is known all over the world for some of its very top of the range resorts, but accommodation at all levels are available. There are full on and mini resorts. Hotels, and apartment hotels, and private and club type villas, from the ultra luxurious to the moderately priced. You will find apartments and condos, small inns, and guest houses.

Many of the properties in Anguilla specialize in packages that includes weddings and honeymoons. There are holiday specials for couples, families, spa aficionados, and scuba divers.

Anguilla is renowned for its dining experience with over 70 different places to experience top class cuisine. There are world class restaurants, award winning local chefs. Best of all are the large number of roadside barbecues, beach side bistros and grills, where you can literally drop by and feast yourself. By the way there are no fast food chains, no franchises allowed.

There are lots of things to do on your Anguilla vacation which includes visiting art galleries, touring historic sites, visiting museums for the culture vultures, because Anguilla has an interesting history over several centuries.

Sandals Resorts - Love is all you need

For the energetic there is horse riding, sailing, snorkeling, or scuba diving to name but four. Best of all just relax on one of the astoundingly beautiful Anguilla Beaches taking in the sun, swimming in the turquoise sea, just reflecting on life in general.

The top beaches, and choosing the best one on Anguilla is difficult vary from the super serene Little harbor, to the wild Windward bay. East Shoal Bay has been voted the best beach in the Caribbean, but you are spoiled for choice in Anguilla. If seclusion is what you want try Barnes Bay. The great thing is that Anguilla is so small you can easily visit all thirty three in a two week vacation

As an island for a family vacation Anguilla offers you nearly everything, but the main thing that families are looking for are beaches, and the get away from it all feeling, and you can certainly find that here.

Apart from all the adult activities mentioned previously there are paddle boats, glass bottomed boats, picnic cruises to deserted cays, and a dolphin lagoon, where you can swim with the dolphins. Babysitting can be easily arranged from the hotel concierge, rental agency, or even the Anguilla Tourist Board.

It’s not difficult to get to Anguilla with international flights into Antigua, Puerto Rico and St Maarten, and you will find the currency is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar, although US currency is widely accepted. There are no casinos, and no nude beaches on Anguilla.

Anguilla is a pretty dry island with only thirty five inches of rain a year, and an average temperature of 80 degrees Fahrenheit, with cooling trade winds in the summer. You will find the water temperature in the upper 70 degrees to the lower 80’s, so it is very attractively warm.

Take an Anguilla Vacation and you’ll never want to leave.
